Area Law Enforcement
Around fifty automobiles have been smeared with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's city of Hanau near Frankfurt, as reported by police.
Vehicles, exterior walls and postboxes were defaced, sometimes with swastikas, they stated in a official communication.
Law enforcement report they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a man noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued substance.
The substance had been drawn in the pattern of a Nazi symbol, they reported.
Law enforcement then located numerous other marked automobiles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity.
These symbols are banned in Germany under laws banning the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.
Law enforcement report early analysis show the fluid was probably blood from a person.
"Currently there is no clue as to its origin; authorities are presently not informed of any physical harm in connection with the occurrence," they added.
Municipal representatives announced they were trying "to resolve the mystery" and have asked to the residents for details.
A high-ranking representative commented the attack made him stunned and required to be solved promptly.
"This incident affects the center of Hanau and reawakens the pain of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine people by a shooter focusing on individuals of foreign heritage in five years prior.
