I'll overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Difference

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is actually happening.
